Our Tradition . . .

Founded in 1954, Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School of Tampa, Florida, offers excellence in Catholic education from Kindergarten through 8th Grade.

Our Mission . . .

The mission of Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School is to educate the whole person - body, mind, and soul by following in the footsteps of Jesus and the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Our Statements of Belief . . .

1. Each student is a unique child of God.

2. A safe and comfortable learning environment increases a student's potential.

3. A healthy learning environment is everyone's responsibility.

4. Catholic education is an integral part of the Church's mission to proclaim the Gospel message of Jesus, to build faith communities, to celebrate through worship, and to serve others without distinction.

5. The opportunity for success is an important component of student learning.

6. Ongoing evaluation and improvement of the curriculum is crucial to the development of a sound educational program.

7. A Catholic school reflects the integration of Catholic faith and values with learning and life.

8. A supportive and challenging learning environment increases a student's potential for responsible decision making.

9. Students learn in a variety of ways.

10. Student learning is a priority in this school.

11. Mutual respect among and between the students and staff creates a wholesome learning environment.

12. The curriculum furnishes instruction in Catholic truths and moral values that are an integral part of the school program.

Diocesan Perspectives

In the fall of 2008, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools wrote to parents and guardians about the strategic planning process for the Diocese.  This initiative remains ongoing, and we strongly encourage our families to click on the communication at left to learn about this initiative.

The Diocese also oversees all of its schools' volunteer vetting requirements under its Protection of Children program. The applicable information and links to the Diocese are contained in MHR's own Volunteer Information page, a link to which is also in our home page Quick Links-Special Situations box.

Finally, from time to time, the Diocese has also releases school reports. When such reports are published, we will provide links in this space.

The School Improvement Process

The School Improvement Process (SIP) is the most formal and important institutional self-evaluation and improvement program at Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School. The entire staff as well as interested parents participate. It is a comprehensive, extensively documented program that, among many other functions, produces the school’s biannual report for accreditation. It derives it strategic vision from, and provides direct support to, the mission of the school. It is guided by the school’s statements of belief.

The SIP Seven Goals for Student Learning presentation, originally given at the November 21, 2011 Coffeehouse, is now available for download in Powerpoint (4.5 MB) or .pdf (2.5 MB).

We also encourage all our parents and guardians to read a detailed update on the most current iteration of the SIP.

Our Supporting Parishes

These five parishes, including host Most Holy Redeemer, support our school, coordinate spiritual and religious education activities, and rotate the leadership role of school pastor. Collectively, they represent the "Inter-Parochial" in our name. Admissions are by no means limited to these parishes, however, and we welcome many children from a variety of other religious communities--including other St. Pete Diocese parishes, the US Military Archdiocese, and other faiths, to name a few. The links below take you directly to our supporting parish home pages.

Looking Onward

Every year, many MHR graduates choose one of the excellent Catholic high schools in the Tampa area for their 9th through 12th grade years.  The links to those schools are available at right.
