Creativity Rules in . . . ODYSSEY OF THE MIND WHAT TO HAVE FOR BREAKFAST . . . THE BEST ROUTE TO WORK . . . HOW TO GET THE KIDS FROM POINT A TO POINT B . . . HOW TO FORECAST THE NEXT YEARS BUDGET . . . HOW TO TURNAROUND A FAILING CORPORATION Think about it. Solving problems is something you do everyday. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to solve most of them, but it helps to know how to work with people, how to think outside the box, and how to look at things from more than one perspective. These are skills you use a lot…ever wonder why they weren’t the ones you learned in school? ODYSSEY OF THE MIND is an education-based creativity program that challenges kids to apply their imaginations and ingenuity to solve problems. It helps children develop creativity, work through challenges and build respect for one another in an environment where cooperation and caring take a front seat to competition. To participate, students must be available to practice one day a week for at least one hour, at the coach's discretion, until the month before regional competition—when more time will be required. Additionally, the parents/guardians must make a commitment to support the team. For general information on the program, please visit www.odysseyofthemind.com.
