Director's Welcome

Welcome to the MHR Club!  My name is Mary Heston and it is a pleasure to have the opportunity to run the MHR Club After School Program.

I have been a parent at MHR for five years and a substitute teacher for the last three, as well.  I am a certified teacher in the state of Florida and have taught both Middle School and High School.  I can honestly say that it has been a joy getting to know all of your children and it's great to have yet another opportunity to work with them.

It is my priority to make this program worthy of your child’s time.  I try to bring a renewed sense of enthusiasm to the after school program and give the participating students many unique opportunities.  My main goal is to make sure that your children have completed their homework, have been fed a nutritious snack, and are happy when you come to pick them up.

I also try to make the Odyssey of the Mind program available to any of the children who would like to be on a team, and I would encourage you to consider the program if you have not done so in the past.

Again, it's a pleasure to have your children with us . . . and welcome to the MHR Club!

Enrolling for 2010 - 2011

Please print and complete a registration form for each child you wish to register, and bring it to the school office or to Mary Heston or Sylvia Decker in the school cafeteria after 2pm.  If you have any questions, feel free to email us or call 813-931-5244.

Please note the following information regarding our program:

• Registration Fee of $25 per child.

• Fee Schedule for Full-Time is $45 per week.

• Fee Schedule for Drop-In is $12 per day (due same day).

• Late Pick-Up Fee of $10 for every 15 minutes, or portion thereof, for pick-up after 6pm (due same day).

• Payments are due on the first day of each week. Late payment fees may be applied.

• Same rates apply for all school days, including Early Dismissal days – see MHR calendar.

• Students must bring a sack lunch on Early Dismissal days.

• Please make all checks payable to Most Holy Redeemer Inter-Parochial School.

• Consistent with school policy, no electronic devices/games or cell phones may be used while at MHR Club. 

MHR Club students recently learned about Jackson Pollock and then did some "splash art" of their own.
