Catholic Schools Tuition Assistance Grant Program

This program has closed for 2010 - 2011.

By way of background, however, any student in grades K through 12 who is a baptized and practicing Catholic and is registered in a Catholic parish in the Diocese of St. Petersburg may apply. The student must be enrolled in, or submitting an enrollment application to, a parish, interparish (such as MHR) or other diocesan Catholic school in the Diocese of St. Petersburg. The student may not be a recipient of a corporate tax or McKay voucher from the State of Florida, and the table at right shows what were the 2009 income limits for 2010 - 2011 aid.

Parents are required to submit a FACTS Grant and Aid Application in the spring preceding the school year. Parents must also  inform the Office of Catholic Schools and Centers that they are applying for Financial Aid from the Diocese by completing the Office of Catholic Schools and Centers online Student Information Form (www.dosp_ocsc.catholicweb.com). This form is available beginning early spring and must be completed online.

An application is considered complete when FACTS Grant and Aid has received the application and all supporting documentation required for evaluation.

Household Size as listed on 2009 Federal  Income Tax Return Gross Income

2 $44,000
3 $50,000
4 $56,000
5 $62,000

Every year, some students get no financial aid when they otherwise would have simply because they:

  • didn’t complete all the steps of the application process, or

  • didn’t complete them on time, or

  • failed to submit the required financial records for analysis, or

  • submitted the incorrect financial records for analysis, or

  • failed to complete the Student Information Form on the OCSC website.

Please don’t let this happen to you! If you are eligible, we encourage you to take advantage of this program and comply carefully with its requirements.
