Student
Council Sponsors "Long-Sleeve Relief Drive"

This
year, the Florida Catholic again sponsored the “Long-Sleeve
Relief Drive”.
The purpose of the drive was to collect
long-sleeve cotton shirts for men and women who work in the
fields. The long-sleeve
shirts are critical to protect farm workers from pesticides, sun, and
irritants.
Again
this year, as a Lenten Activity, the
MHR Student Council sponsored
this drive during the weeks of Lent.
The Drive began Ash Wednesday, February 6 and ran
through Friday, March 14, and students’ families voluntarily participated in
this worthwhile project by sending in shirts for the farm workers. |
