Accelerated Reader Program

You can get our latest list of Accelerated Reader Program quiz titles from the table below.

Quizzes for all these books are available on the MHR library computer system. When you're ready, click here to find out how, when, and where to take an AR quiz. Kindergarten through 3rd Grade can also download, print, and fill out their AR quiz forms in advance by clicking on the appropriate link below:

Kindergarten AR Quiz Forms

1st Grade AR Quiz Forms

2nd Grade AR Quiz Forms

3rd Grade AR Quiz Forms

Note: 4th and up must keep permanent logs issued by their teacher, not these forms. However, if they do not bring their log to the Media Center, they may usually use the 3rd Grade form to transfer quiz results to their teacher for the permanent log--but check with the teacher, first.

Special Note . . .

The list of Accelerated Reader quizzes is provided as a convenience to parents and students. The Media Center does NOT maintain a copy of every book for which a quiz is listed. In addition, quiz reading levels are NOT necessarily indicative of a book’s content or age appropriateness. Parents must use discretion and assist their child(ren) in making book selections.

Hints on how to use these lists

Math Programs

Accelerated Math is a computerized information system that helps teachers manage student mathematics learning.  It individualizes mathematics practice and testing, scores work and keeps records (which, in turn, reduces teacher paperwork).  Accelerated Math libraries continue to expand as funds become available.  For more information on Accelerated Math from Renaissance Learning, click on the icon at left.

STAR Math® complements Accelerated Math.  A program of computer-adaptive questions that adjust to the student’s level, it helps place students in the appropriate Accelerated Math (see above) libraries.  It also measures progress and predicts high-stakes test results.  For more information, click on the icon at right.

Other Programs

ODYSSEY OF THE MIND is an education-based creativity program that challenges kids to apply their imaginations and ingenuity to solve problems. Click on the icon above for information on Odyssey of the Mind at MHR.

As the Optimists put it, "The Optimist Oratorical Contest gives youngsters the chance to speak to the world." Click on the icon for general information on the program, or see the Media Center for details.
