From the 2011 - 2012 HSA Board

Most Holy Redeemer, just like any other school, relies on volunteers. To become a volunteer, you must have a completed volunteer application, Level 2 Background Screening and Safe Environment Training. We know it seems like a lot to do, but when it’s all said and done, you’ll be glad that you did. The sooner you get the process started, the better.

Don’t forget that you can display your child’s name on the Birthday Sign for $10. Their first name and age will be displayed for one week. Forms are available in the office and can be downloaded here on the web.

The HSA board members want you to know that we are here for you if you have any questions or concerns. Also, please check this website regularly. It is updated with information all the time.

Thank you and let us know if you need us!

The 2011 - 2012 HSA Officers (L-R):  Thom Laux, Principal; Shawnette Moll, Vice President; Sylvia Decker, Recording Secretary; Stacy Pratt, Treasurer; Nancy Hurtado, Corresponding Secretary; Sue-Ellen Bruno, Past President and Neil Heston, President.

HSA Fundraising

The HSA sponsors or facilitates several commercial programs to help raise funds for MHR.

For more information on these programs, please click on the logos. They'll open the companies' sites where you'll find program guidelines, answers to frequently asked questions and participating products.  Our Box Tops for Education and Tyson Project A+ Coordinator is Carrie Echenique (813.401.4478).  Incidentally, look for Box Tops on a variety of products carrying the Avery®, Hi-Liter®, Marks-A-Lot® and Glue Stic® brand names. Participating products include binders, dividers, printable labels, T-shirt transfers, highlighters, permanent markers and glue sticks. Here's the complete list. And we can even earn Box Tops rewards for your online purchases if you choose to register.

We also participate in the Campbell's Soups Labels for Education program, and this directly benefits our Media Center. We appreciate the support from so many of our families and remind everyone that we save only the UPC portions of the labels, and they can be attached to the 1-point or 5-point collection sheets or just be turned in by themselves. By the way, a number of other non-soup products like Goldfish®, Spaghetti-Os®, Swanson® broth, and Prego® sauces also sport Labels for Education. Need help or have a question? Please call Maggie Batteese (813.334.8770).

We participate in the Gordon Food Services (GFS) Fun Funds program.  Membership is free and over 1,000 items in their stores are labeled for the Fun Funds program. Based on the quarterly purchases of our cardholders, MHR can earn up to a 10 percent rebate! All other products earn one percent. All you need to do is log onto the GFS website and complete the registration form.  Our organization number is 2494125, and you will receive discount coupons just for signing-up.  Please see the GFS Marketplace site for additional information on the stores, or contact Neil Heston with any questions.  What a great way to raise funds for MHR!

Finally, we participate in the My Coke Rewards for Schools program. With this program, we can earn points which will be redeemed for free things like playground equipment, art supplies, sports gear, educational resources, and much more. The Coke points are located underneath the bottle caps and inside the cartons. All you need to do is log onto the Coke Rewards website and follow the instructions. The MHR zip code is 33612. Questions? Contact Jennifer Monsour (813.335.2122).  What a great way to earn free resources for MHR!
